  3. Chuck Close is an American photographer, a painter, and a photorealist
who was born is July 4 1940 in Monroe Washington. His techniques that relate to his brobdingnagian and massive scaled portraits is that he uses a grid over a canvas which is put over a photograph. Through this he colors in each coordinate cell by cell. His cellular format includes implementing colors against contradictory colors as a background method. Also his executions of regions of color are similar to pixels. LAst but not least, another fact about Chuck Close is that he has experienced paralysis and catastrophic spinal artery collapses.

  4. The image is of Frida Kahlo. from 1926 until her death, she was a Mexican painter; Frida Kahlo created striking, often shocking, images that reflected her life. Kahlo was one of four daughters born to a Jewish father and a mother of Spanish and Mexican Indian descent, in the Mexico City suburb of Coyoacán.

  15. Michaelangelo was one of the greatest renaissance artists, and i think we pretty much know how amazing he is. but when we recreate this project, we will have to put alot of work and effort into it. just like Michaelangelo does with his work.

Frida's life began and ended in Mexico City, in her home known as the Blue House. She gave her birthdate as July 7, 1910, but her birth certificate shows July 6, 1907. Frida claimed this so because she wanted the year of her birth to cooincide with the year of the outbreak of the Mexican revolution, because her life would begin with the birth of modern Mexico.

  24. As almost everyone has said, it is amazing that Chuck Close, even though paralyzed, he was able to continue what he loved to do the most, art. Being paralyzed people would just say that they can't do anything and give up, but Chuck continued on.
I was surprised that he would make a small photograph into a huge one. Knowing that it would take a long time to finish it. I know that other people might just say, "Forget it. What a waste of my time." but Chuck, since he loved doing what he was doing, he just took his time without anyone pressuring him or telling him not to do it. I know that I wouldn't do that, but if it was a photograph that I loved I would be like,
"Give me paper! Give me paper! Hurry up I want to make this bigger!"
I'm for sure even though there is technology to make a drawing bigger he would still do it on paper.
I'm not THAT interested on his art mainly because I'm more into anime drawings, but making and anime drawing look realistic would be something interesting to do for me.
OH! one things is that I never noticed that people could do pics just by fingerprinting. I want to do that someday even though it looks easy to do I know that it would be hard.

  33. Our picture is of a painting by Michaelangelo that he painted on the Sistine Chapel. I think it is really cool that he was able to paint on the ceiling of a church for 4 years. I don't think i would be able to paint anything for that long especially if i was upside down or if i was forced to do it. I complement him on his patients and dedication.

Our class portrait was created by Michelangelo. In my opinion what he created is a very good piece of art. The value and detail used makes it look like a very realistic piece. The woman actually looks real.
