  • Look up more images by O'Keeffe. How does she make us pay attention to flowers?

  1. Obviously she uses flowers in a lot of her paintings, but the ones that drew me the most were hose where she closely examines the heart (there's no other word) of the flower. She makes you pay attention not only by coming in so close, but also by using more intense colors than you would perhaps find in nature.
