Your goal is to create an artwork that demonstrates at least 30 accurate forms in linear perspective. You can use two- or three-point.
12" x 18" paper, media of your choice
To begin, consider the composition. Do you want to use letters? Do you want to create a floating architectural form?
Some tips (1-4, courtesy of Ken Vieth):
- Use your sketchbook to work out small thumbnail drawings for complex forms
- Add width to individual letters/forms using the same vanishing points.
- If using two-point, remember that verticals stay vertical. Three-point means that all verticals go to the third vanishing points.
- You are encouraged to overlap, interlock, and pierce your forms.
- Your work will be assessed on accuracy, creativity, and craftsmanship.
