Now, we're going to engage in a crash-course in clay work. As preparation for our first project, please check out some information on Illuminated Letters. When finished, you will design an original illuminated letter, sketching the 5" x 5" design in your sketchbook. Your design should combine lettering, illustration, and a border. Consider the final medium (clay) during your planning.
