One thing I noticed about his paintings was:
ReplyDeleteHe never smiles.
His faces expression doesn't change by alot.
His outfit always change.
i really like the dicussion we had in class as to why artists do self portraits. i personal reason i would do them is because i could map out my life in a sense. in van gouh's work for example, each picture told a story, something about him, and each picture gave us more.
