First Friday in Phoenix is exciting. It's one of the biggest monthly art festivals anywhere. Thousands gather to celebrate and check out some cool art, music, and performers. Did you go to this month's First Friday? What were your thoughts? Did you take any cool photos (please send!)?
It was the first time i have gone to first friday. It was a bit crowded and a little hot so my bestie and i mostly hung out at the az center at cold stone. There were some pretty interesting charaters there... but i had fun :). No pictures though, sorry.
ReplyDeleteI am a usual to First Friday, but I have not gone in recent months. This month's First Friday was a different experience because the streets were not closed off and there were only things happening on private property. I still liked it though. Too bad no one brought a camera.

ReplyDeleteNo, sadly, I didn't go to the First Friday. I wish I'd gone, though. It sounds really cool and exciting. The performers would've been cool to watch. I'll definitely go next month!

Ummmmmm..... Yes i went to First Friday and saw this really amazing gallery that had some art that looked like negatives from an old fashioned camera. But they looked really cool. And it would have been a really ghetto picture of Circle K with a line strecthing all around the parking lot and a bouncer at the door
ReplyDeletei didnt get to go this first friday, but i am trying to go next month. i thought it sounded very exciting by evrything people told me, and it made me want to go even more. i have never went, so i dont really know what its about, and that makes me want to go even more

ReplyDeleteFirst friday was soooo fun. I went with my bestfriend and 5 other close friends. I have noticed that there isn't as much art and stuff as there use to be. There use to be this really cool band that would jam out in the alley but i havn't seen them in a while. I like the house with the DJ outside and everyone was dancing :D
ReplyDeleteI went with a group of kids to go to first friday but we didn't actually make it down to where the boothes were. We heard that they weren't really doing the boothes too much anymore so I went home. After I was home I found out that they did actually have boothes they just didn't close off the whole street and put them there this time.
ReplyDeleteIt was super fun. We saw this really disturbing display someone put up (trying to promote vegetarianism). It was the highlight of my month.

ReplyDeleteand i loved the vegetarian demo it was really cool although i have seen it before. For anyone who didnt see it, it was people in the styrophoam packaging tht meat comes in annd there was fake blood and everything. AMAZING DEMO.
